WOSP Starter High Torque 12V Beetle 002 Bus Ghia 356 17-2953-0 LMS1101

This LMS1101 model is a self-supported 12 volt high torque starter option built to replace the SR15 starter in 1966-79 manual transmission Beetle, Bus, Ghia, and many similar VW group vehicles. This works great with stock and modified street engines.

This starter features a Denso based starter motor, weighs 8.5 lbs, features 1.0kW of power. CCW rotation, 9 pinion teeth and 25mm pinion diameter. Self-supported starter means no starter bushing required.

Designed and manufactured WOSP's warehouse using only OE platforms, these lightweight, gear reduction and high torque starter motors are ideal for use in hostile or bespoke environments and are warranted for 12 months and in most cases offer twice the power and half the current draw and weight to an original unit. Unless specifically intended for just one application all our units can be rotated 360° on their own axis giving the unit an infinite number of mounting positions to clear any obstruction.
