Spark Plug tech advice for Air Cooled VW:
Stock plugs for Type 1 (Bug, early Bus) are 14mm 1/2 inch reach
Stock plugs for Type 4 (Bus, 914) are 14mm 3/4 inch reach
Aftermarket Heads (and Fuel Injected Mexican Bugs) are often 12mm 3/4 inch reach
Recommended plug gap for stock points is .024-.028 inch
Recommended plug gap for electronic ignition is .032-.035 inch
