Our TDI Starter adapter is a CNC machined billet aluminum adapter that includes all necessary mounting hardware and instructions. This kit includes a 96-06 Jetta Manual trans TDI starter and fits onto VW Type 1 Beetle, 3-Rib, or 5-Rib 002 Bus transaxle bellhousing for dune buggies with hi compression or more powerful engines.
This combo fits Beetle bodies but the post can be tight on the body. Early split window Bus generally requires some body/pan modification to clear starter post.
This fits a 2-3/4 inch bell housing flange to starter flange distance. Measure if you are not sure.

Works great easy install
Wow! It made a huge difference on my 67 single cab! Installation was easy and required no modifications to install. So much torque that it almost flipped my truck on its side when I started it down the first time.
Works good so far, if your using a Kennedy adapter you will need ARP 300-8355 nuts and will have to lightly grind the starter to clear the stud that’s used with the engine adapter plate.
