Vacuum advance SVDA style distributor for classic aircooled VWs. Vacuum advance style distributors are the preferred choice for stock 34-PICT setups in aircooled VW Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Thing, Type 3, and early Bus with upright Type 1 engines.

Fits all 12 volt, 34-PICT carbureted 1950-79 Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Type 3, and Bus with Type 1 engine.

The green points wire connects to the COIL NEGATIVE side. For use with a 12 volt, 3.0-3.7 Ohm coil.

Tech Tip: Vacuum Advance or SVDA distributors advance ignition timing just off idle to help eliminate the common flat spot when replacing a 009 distributor on a stock engine.
