EMPI 98-1893-B Total Seal gapless piston ring set for aircooled VW engines with 92 mm pistons. Ring thicknesses measure 1.5 x 2 x 4 mm. Set of four gapless rings and oil control rings.
Fitment: Compatible with aircooled VW Type 1 engines using 92 mm pistons with 1.5 x 2 x 4 mm ring grooves, including 1835cc and 1914cc engine builds.
Tech Tip: Verify piston bore and ring groove dimensions before installation. Clean the ring grooves and cylinder walls, and follow the ring manufacturer's honing and installation instructions. The piston rings install into the piston grooves and seal against the cylinder walls to maintain compression and control oil.
