Empi 8mm Single Port Chromoly Head Stud Kit for VW Beetle Ghia 00-4005-0

Empi 00-4005-0 stock length 8mm chromoly head stud kit for Single Port VW Type 1 engines. These kits are used to replace head studs and hardware on early engine cases that have been converted to late 8mm stud but still use single port heads. This 8mm stud kit includes 7 x 200mm studs, 9 x 235mm studs, 16 x M8 nuts and 16 x M8 head washers.

Fitment: This fits 8mm-converted 1960-72 Beetle, 1960-72 Karmann Ghia, 1960-71 Bus, 1960-72 Type 3, and VW-based dune buggies with cases updated to case savers and 8mm head studs. VW Transitioned from 10mm studs to 8mm studs during the 1972-73 years so make sure check your engine case.

Tech Tip these require your case already have case savers installed. Torque 8mm head nuts first to 7 ft-lbs, then finish to 18 ft-lbs.
