Empi 1-5/8 Inch Black Sideflow Exhaust System for Beetle 00-3263-0

Empi 1-5/8 inch merged style header sideflow style exhaust system. Designed to fit 1966-79 Type 1 Beetle and tucks the muffler under the passenger side cylinder head inboard of the rear tire. Muffler sounds deep and throaty and is tucked under the rear apron.

This is a merged header system and cannot be used with heater boxes.

We recommend this exhaust for mild to large street engines in the 1914-2276cc range. This exhaust hangs lower than the cylinder head and may have clearance issues for extremely lowered cars.

Empi Black exhausts have a black shipping coating to prevent corrosion during shipping and storage. The black coating will burn off once run and is not warranted against rust or scratches by Empi. We recommend using a high-temp header paint on any Empi black exhaust. If you need a pre-finished exhaust, look at Stainless Steel or Ceramic Coated exhaust options.
