Sachs steering damper for 1960-77 VW Type 1 Standard Beetle, 1960-74 Karmann Ghia, 1973-74 Thing. This steering stabilizer has an eyelet on one end, and a stud on the other end. Fits Standard Beetle, will NOT fit Super Beetle. Alternate part numbers 113425021, 113-425-021, 984521B, 98-4521-B.
Also called steering dampner, steering dampener, and steering stabilizer.

I bought an EMPI brand steering damper from another retailer and thought it wasn't working properly, so I ordered a Sachs brand steering damper from DBW. When I took off the EMPI damper to swap out for Sachs, it seemed to be working, but the Sachs is clearly better quality and provided more dampening resistance. Steering is tighter and noticeably better. Lesson learned, Sachs for me!
