Empi Transmission Mount Kit For Bus Transaxle in Beetle 00-3195-0

Empi 00-3195-0 Transmission Mount conversion kit for putting a VW Type 2 Bus Transaxle in a Beetle, Baja Bug, or Type 1 Beetle-based Dune Buggy, Sand Rail, or Fiberglass tub buggy chassis. This kit will work on a 002-style 3-Rib or 5-Rib Bus transaxles, and 091-style or 094-style 6-Rib Bus transaxles.

This kit includes hard cradle mounts for the Bus transaxle with elongated holes. The Bus transaxles are offset measuring from the CV-to-CV center point, so you will have to offset the transaxle slightly to the passenger side. This kit has offset oblong holes to help keep equal axle lengths.

Includes hard front nosecone mount, and a front and rear transaxle straps to reduce flex or transaxle hop.

Other considerations for converting transaxles: Welding a shift shaft adjuster 17-2724-0 into your shift rod, using a shift shaft coupler 17-2725-0 to offset the shift shaft for a Bus transmission nosecone, changing axle length or updating axles and CV joint sizes, adding longer bell housing mounting studs for 091 bell housings, and creating enough space for the larger Bus transaxle nosecone if stuffing one behind a Beetle pan.
