H-Beam Rod Set. 5.500" with Chevy Journal. These h-beam connecting rods are designed to have maximum strength while being as light as possible. The Chevy journal allows for the most clearance possible in stroker applications. EMPI equips their performance connecting rods with 5/16 ARP 2000 rod bolts, which can withstand 220,000 PSI tensile load. These rods are a must for a high revving engine or a performance engine with a lead-foot driver.

Empi 00-8321-0 H-Beam 5.5 inch long connecting rod set are designed for VW Type 1 performance applications requiring lighter weight and higher strength than OE. This forged 4340 chromoly construction H-beam design holds up well to higher compression, higher RPM, and stroker applications.
Features radiused rod cap for additional stroker clearance and includes ARP 5/16 inch rod bolts rated for 220,000 psi.
Sold as a set of 4 rods.
