Empi dual 44 HPMX carburetor kit for VW Type 1 dual port style engines. This dual 44 carb kit fits 1971-79 Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Thing, Type 2 Bus with upright style Type 1 engine, and dune buggies with dual port engines. Requires updated style fan shroud or slight fitment of OEM fan shroud around the intake manifold.
This is a complete bolt on kit for all dual port VW Type 1 engines. We recommend dual 44 HPMX/IDF kits for 1915-2500cc sized engines.
These 44 HPMX carburetors include the following jets: 55 idle, 135 main, 200 air corrector, 50 pump, 550 ex pump, F11 emulsion tubes, 36mm venturis.
These IDF style carburetors should be re-jetted to match your specific engine size. Contact us for jetting recommendations, or check out the jetting guide in the Tech Center on our site.
