Empi 22mm Buggy Master Cylinder and Thread-In Reservoir 211611011J 0061120

Empi 00-6112-0 single circuit 22mm bore master cylinder with threaded brake fluid reservoir. This master cylinder is a residual valve style which can be used for drum brakes, or drum/disc mixed brake systems and includes a screw-in brake reservoir with cap. This 22mm bore will work with 2-wheel or 4-wheel disc brake circuits. These single circuit master cylinders are the same size as 1966-and-earlier VW Bus, and can be easily fitted into early Beetle or dune buggy chassis for a larger bore master cylinder upgrade.

Includes screw-in style reservoir EMP-986020B or EMP-211-611-301C. Reservoir threads into the top of the master cylinder.

The residual valve can be removed with a set of lock ring pliers if you end up convering from drum, or mixed drum/disc brakes to full disc brakes.

Tech Tip we would recommend this large-bore, nresidual valve master cylinder as an upgrade for single circuit early Beetle or VW-based dune buggies with drum brakes, or mixed drum/disc brake combinations. We set these up with forward port for brake switch, left port for rear brake line to tee, right and top ports for front wheels. If only using rear brakes, use 2 separate ports for left+right wheels, and plug unused port.
