Elring 006.697 oil strainer gasket kit or sump drain plate gasket kit for aircooled VW engines. gasket kit includes two sump plate gaskets, 6 copper crush washers for the sump stud nuts, and a copper drain plug crush washer.

Fitment: Compatible with Type 1 aircooled 1960-79 Beetle and Super Beetle, 1957-71 Bus or Transporter, 1960-74 Karmann Ghia, 1966-73 Type 3, and 1973-74 Thing.

Tech Tip: Clean and inspect your sump screen regularly. The large gaskets sandwich on either side of the sump screen, the small crush washers install between the sump plate nad sump plate nuts - torque to 5 ft-lbs. The drain plug washer gets installed between the sump plate and drain plug - torque drain plug to 25 ft-lbs.
