Elring Final Drive Seal for T1 IRS and 002 Bus Transaxle 277.517 113301189F

Elring 277.517 final drive flange seal or final drive axle shaft seal for VW Type 1 and Type 2 style 3-rib and 5-rib VW transaxles or transmissions. This seal measures 36x60x15mm and seals around the final drive output flange and the transmission case.

Fitment: Compatible with manual transmission IRS 1968-79 Beetle, 1968-74 Type 3, 1973-74 Thing, and 1969-75 Bus or Transporter. This is only compatible with 002-style 3-rib and 5-rib Bus transaxles and will not work on 1968 model year 'acorn nut' style transaxles.

Tech Tip This seal sits in either side of the transaxle, sealing between the transmission case and the final drive flange, also sometimes called final drive axle shaft seal. 2 required per transaxle.
