Elring Crankshaft Fan Pulley Seal for 1.7-2.0L VW Bus 914 040.363 021105247A

Elring 040.363 front crankshaft pulley oil seal for VW Type 4 engines. Seal measures 42 x 62 x 10 mm and installs behind the fan pulley, sealing between the crankshaft pulley snout and engine case.

Fitment: Compatible with Type 2 aircooled 1972-79 Bus or Transporter and 1980-83 Vanagon.

Tech Tip: Inspect the crankshaft pulley hub and engine case sealing surface for wear before installation. Replace the seal if oil leaks around the pulley. The seal installs in the engine case behind the crankshaft pulley and seals against the pulley hub to retain engine oil and prevent debris from entering.
