Description
The Drews Hill Climber 910 camshaft is our own in house cam designed by off road racers for racers, hill climbers, and drivers who want a useable powerband. This 910 Hill Climber cam is our second revision, with a slightly higher powerband compared to the low-rpm 909 Hill Climber camshaft.
The secret sauce on our 910 grind is the built in advance, lobe separation, and split lobe, moving the powerband down to where you actually ride. This cam is an additional 3 degrees advance and shows off well with additional advance. Verifying valve to piston clearance for high lift applications is critical for correct cam timing.
The ideal engine would be large cc, dual carb, ported head setup with valvetrain to support high lift and compression. This cam really shows its muscle with ratio rockers and high-lift valvetrain. The 910 Hill Climber gives lots of throttle response with a wide, useable powerband of 2000-7000 rpm.

Fitment
VW Type 1 air-cooled engines (1200cc-1600cc+), including Beetle, Ghia, Bus, and dune buggy builds. Best for mild to hot stroker engines with dual carb setups, large flowing cylinder heads, and sturdy valvetrain.

Tech Tips
- Supporting parts: Dual carburetors, ported heads, header exhaust, HD valve springs, lifters
- Target compression ratio: 8.5:1-9.5:1
- Cam gear bolt torque: 18-25 ft-lbs
- Break-in: Use high-zinc oil, run at 2,000-2,500 RPM for 20 minutes, avoid idling during initial startup
