DB1 Dual 48 IDF/HPMX Style Carburetor Kit for VW Beetle Ghia Bus 1248

DB1 dual 48 IDF/HPMX style carburetor kit for Beetle, Ghia, and Bus with dual port upright VW Type 1 engines. We recommend this kit for engines in the 2100-2600cc range with supporting performance mods. Cylinder heads should have a 42-44mm intake valve to take advantage of the 40mm venturi size on these carburetors. Intakes have enough additional material for small port matching.

Includes carburetors, air cleaner assemblies, intakes, gaskets, fuel tee and hose, and linkage kit. Everything you need to install into a stock VW Beetle or VW powered rail buggy. This is the most economical dual carburetor kit for the DIY-er looking for performance on a budget.

Stock VW fan shrouds may require modification to fit intakes. Some narrower engine builds may require trimming down the cross bar.

Carbs are jetted 155 main, 200 air corrector, 55 idle, F11 emulsion tubes, 50 accelerator pump, 55 bypass and 40mm venturis. Recommended jetting for many engine sizes is available under our DBW Tech Center.
