Empi 10mm +12.7mm Longer Chromoly Head Stud Kit for Dual Port VW Beetle 0040100

Empi 00-4010-0 stroker length chromoly head stud kit for Dual Port VW Type 1 engines. These +12.7mm longer length stud kits are used to replace head studs and hardware on dual port VW Type 1 engine cases being built for stroker and longer connecting rod engines that may have longer cylinders. This 10mm stud kit includes 4 x 198mm studs, 3 x 213mm studs, 9 x 248mm studs, 16 x M10 nuts and 16 x M10 head washers.

Fitment: This kit is meant for custom stroker builds using taller than stock cylinder liners and/or long connecting rod builds. This will fit a 10mm engine case being built into a stroker engine. VW Transitioned from 10mm studs to 8mm studs during the 1972-73 years so make sure check your engine case.

Tech Tip these were originally installed directly into the threaded case. For strongest install we always recommend installing case savers, then head studs. Torque 10mm head nuts first to 7 ft-lbs, then finish to 23 ft-lbs.
