The Texas Desert Racing Association will host its final race of the year, the Lonestar 200, in Notrees, Tx.

Desert racers will converge one final time for the year in Notrees, Tx for the Lonestar 200.

This endurance race will feature a 30 mile loop and cover a total distance of 200 miles through the desert.

Air-cooled racers will be there in full force.

Billy Dobbs, owner of the V Dub Hobby Shop, and a TDRA Air-cooled VW racer, says there will be some new additions to the air-cooled class.

Two female drivers will be in the air-cooled class giving the men a run for their money.

Also an air-cooled dune buggy racer from Florida will be competing this race.

As usually the race will be a grueling test of man and machine. Top placing racers will more than likely be the racers who can finish or complete the most miles.

Dobbs said he is gunning for first place. He and the Sonnenberg team are neck and neck. The winner of this race will determine who takes first in the air-cooled class for this year.

The Sonnenberg team will have one of the women drivers in the class. She has never raced a buggy, but has experience off road. The team is confident she will be a contender in this weekend's race.

DuneBuggyWarehouse.com is proud to be a sponsor of these great events.  You can see our contingency sponsorship stickers on the cars competing in the air-cooled VW class.

We have heard from several racers completing last minute preparations on their VW powered cars.  It is sure to be a great race with huge competition through the dusty landscape.

Registration and Pre-Runs will be held on October 27.  The race will be held on October 28.

If you are interested in racing in the series in your air-cooled machine, trophy truck, off road rig, dirt bike or UTV contact the TDRA.  They will welcome any new racers that have qualifying vehicles with open arms.
