Empi rear truss bar reinforcement kit for VW Type 1 chassis. Also commonly called a Kafer Bar, or rear suspension truss bar. This kit triangulates the rear suspension and frame horns to prevent movement of the engine and transmission during acceleration, preventing wheel hop. Fits 1961-later VW Beetle, Super Beetle, Karmann Ghia. Fits Swing Axle and IRS style chassis.
Does not fit VW Thing. Does not fit SR17 or other tall starters.
Compatible with stock heater boxes. May require trimming or modification to body panels for installation.
Adjustable rod ends allows for chassis variations and/or specific preload.
Features 3/4 inch steel tubing, powder coated black.
