Cylinder Shims and Jug Spacers for VW Beetle, Dune Buggy, Sand Rail, and Baja Bugs. Cylinder shim spacers (also called jug spacers or barrel shims) to fit 85.5mm, 87mm, 90.5mm, 92mm, 94mm pistons & cylinders on VW Type 1 , Type 2, and Type 3 engines.
Cylinder shims and cylinder spacers are used to lower compression or raise deck height. Minimum deck height for a VW Type 1 engine is .040in - we recommend at least .060in deck height.
