EMPI 47-7411-0 dual 34 EPC carburetor kit for dual port Type 1 engines used in 1966-79 Beetle, Karmann Ghia, and 1971 Bus. This ICT-style carburetor kit offers added power in combination with fuel economy. Dual 34 EPC kits are recommended for 1600-1835cc sized engines.
Includes dual Empi EPC 34 carburetors, dual port intake manifolds, throttle linkage, cone style air cleaners, gaskets and hardware. Compatible with dual port VW Type 1 Beetle, Karmann Ghia, and dual port VW-based dune buggy, rail buggy, sand rail.
Tech Tip: With all dual 34 EPC and ICT kits, performance and tuning are drastically improved by adding a vacuum cross tube or vacuum balance tube linking both intake manifolds. This modification is done by adding threaded hose barbs to both intakes, and running a 3/8 inch oil hose or vacuum hose across the intakes. This is NOT done by the factory, but is highly recommended for smoother operation by most proficient aircooled mechanics.
