If you are in the Southwest Ohio area, the Cincy VW Club is one of the go-to clubs for vintage Volkswagen enthusiasts. Marking the 26th year, our area's largest VW, Porsche & Audi show is being held at Cincinnati's local Germania Park, home of the Germania Society located at 3529 West Kemper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45207.
Here are some of our favorites from the 2016 show:
Above - A shot of the Swap area with Mark Schlachter's restored split-window VW Bus and trailer.
Above - A lineup shot showing the variety of Beetles, Dune Buggies, and Buses that populate the Reunion show.
Above - a beautiful early style Beetle. Love the roof rack!
Below - A popular manx-style mini tub buggy
Above - The face of a rare Type-34 Karmann Ghia, known as a 'Razorback'
Below - A very rare barn-find Volkswagen Hebmuller. A car like this could take 10 years to restore.
Above - A restored Ghia, and Alex Curry's Pro Stock drag ghia known as 'My College Fund' both cleaned up and parked for the show.
Below - This is a 'Driver's Show' - many original, unrestored driver cars like this Porsche 356 make their way to Germania for the Reunion.
Above - One of the feature cars from 2016, a rare and very valuable Porsche Carrera GTS 4-Cam Race Car. This Porsche attracted plenty of attention.
Below - A few more shots, showing the 4-Cam engine and body lines.
Below - A hot rod Beetle cruises by the lineup.
If you like what you see, head out to the Cincy VW Club's annual Reunion and check out the cars for yourself!
Stop by September 24, 2017 for the 26th annual show. All early and late model German cars are available, and even the parking lot ends up being a bit of a car show. Show Car registration costs $20, and includes 1 car with 2 guests. Spectator entry costs $5.
